Lexcel Accreditation

Lexcel is the Law Society’s practice management standard. It signifies that a law firm has high quality practices and procedures in place. It provides considerable reassurance that you meet the SRA Code of Conduct outcomes and have the kind of risk management procedures professional indemnity insurers look for.

We provide practical help and advice on:

• implementing Lexcel for start-up practices
• implementing Lexcel for established practices, so that you implement the requirements to fit with your established way of working
• support in preparing for annual assessments and implementing corrective action
• converting to Lexcel from the Legal Aid Specialist Quality Mark
• advice on implementing Lexcel and complying with Legal Aid Agency contract requirements
• internal pre-assessments – to give everyone the opportunity to practise before the real thing!

Vicky Ling is a trained and experienced auditor of quality systems. She has been a member of the Chartered Institute of Quality Assurance since 2000 and became a Chartered Quality Professional in 2008.  She is accredited as a Lexcel Consultant by the Law Society and has provided Lexcel consultancy to dozens of practices since the standard was launched in 1997.
