Andrew Otterburn

Andrew Otterburn is a founding member of the Law Consultancy Network and former leading law firm management consultant.  He advised around 250 firms of solicitors and barristers chambers in the UK and Ireland and undertook extensive consultancy work for the Law Society of England & Wales, the Law Society of Scotland, the Legal Services Commission and the Ministry of Justice.  The 3rd edition of his book Profitability and Law Firm Management was published by the Law Society in 2016. He is a former vice chair of the Executive Committee of the Law Management Section.

Andrew no longer offers support as a management consultant to firms but supports colleagues within the Law Consultancy Network as an alumni member.

In the words of Simon Tupman, we no longer retire but re-invent ourselves, and Andrew has re-invented himself as a children’s author.  In 2024 he moved to North Norfolk and has published a series of children’s books about Herbert the Crab and his friends.  Available on line and through around twenty outlets along the Norfolk coast, he has sold over 2,000 copies and they have become one of the most popular children’s books in North Norfolk.
